Just outside Big Sky, the property was perfect—the cabin just needed room to grow. This addition wraps a cozy existing cabin in two new wings: a private master retreat on one side, a state-of-the-art kitchen and garage on the other.

DESIGN DETAILS

Just outside Big Sky, Montana, they found the perfect property—the cabin just had a bit to be desired. So rather than start over, this design grows the cozy existing cabin into the home they need. A new master wing anchors one side, while a kitchen and garage wing extends the other, complete with a state-of-the-art kitchen, a generous pantry, and dedicated laundry and mud room space. On the lower level of the kitchen wing, a new family room opens to remote views and wildlife like none other.
